Marissa was born on May 27, 1959 in Quezon City, Philippines, the daughter of Rebecca Alvir Barretto and the late Dominador Aquino Dizon. She was the eldest of eight siblings: Maureen, Leah, Tonichi, Sam, Gen, Kathleen, and Benjamine.
She was married to Noel E. Rivera Sr. and had 4 sons - Ryan, Vincent, Noel Jr., and Angelo. Her 4 grandchildren are Ethan, Noah, Sebastian, and Mikaela. Marissa was a caring wife and mother who was loved by many people. She will be forever missed.
The viewing and funeral will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
