Marion A. (Miners) O' Brien, 92, a resident of Atkinson for the past ten years, died November 7, 2013 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Facility in Haverhill.

Born in Bucksport, Maine, daughter of the late Alton Miners and Ruth (Spinney) (Miners) Hunter, she was raised in Maine and New Brunswick, Canada, she later graduated from Jamaica Plains High School and the Boston Clerical School.

As the wife of the late Reverend Richard Lawrence Nathan O'Brien, she served as a church secretary and Director of Youth Programs in the various United Methodist churches served by her husband in Derry, NH, Medford, Wilmington and Hamilton Massachusetts and East Hartford, Connecticut. She and her late husband also raised twelve foster children in their home.

A member of the Cheerful Christian Collators, she also enjoyed knitting and raising roses.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Bennett of Whitinsville, MA, Carol and Mark Boudreau of Atkinson, Dawn O'Brien of Weymouth, MA and Jackie and Paul Gleason of Orlando, Florida, six grandchildren, Catherine Boudreau, Laura Boudreau, Robyn Jewett, Melanie Davis, Tommy Vasquez, Jr. and Megan Pavlicek, a sister-in-law, Barbara Frazier and nephew David Frazier.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday at 10a.m. in Atkinson Congregational Church, Main St., Atkinson, NH, with a reception following the service in Fellowship Hall. A family burial service will take place on Wednesday at 2p.m. in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, MA.
