Mario Michael Baca, 51, of Wrightwood, California, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025. Mario grew up in Whittier, California, and was an extraordinary man who embodied love, generosity, and warmth in every aspect of his life.

Mario honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force, a testament to his dedication and selflessness.

He was the loving husband of Cinnamon Baca and the devoted father of four children: Victoria Baca (and her soulmate Jason and grandson Leonides), Emily Assoulin, Hannah Assoulin (and her soulmate Tyler Vyazmensky), and Jacob Assoulin. He was the cherished son of Glenda Baca and a beloved brother to Yvonne Hardy and brother-in-law David Hardy. His family and friends were his greatest pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Baca, uncles Louie Baca, Ray Baca, and Richard Chavez, aunts Mary Ann Chavez and Brenda Sanchez, cousin Rachel Calles, cousin Jay Torrez, and grandparents — Antonio and Margaret Baca and Mariano and Lillie Chavez. 

To know Mario was to feel deeply seen, cherished, and loved. He had an unparalleled gift for making everyone he met feel special, with a warmth and curiosity that drew people in. He was the kind of man who would stop what he was doing to help a friend or stranger in need. Mario’s legacy is one of love. He leaves behind a world made better by his presence and countless lives forever marked by his kindness, generosity, and service. Mario Michael Baca will be missed deeply and remembered always as a shining example of what it means to live with an open heart.
