Marilyn Grillo Pagano

June 18, 1936 — September 23, 2012

Marilyn Grillo Pagano, 76, born on June 18, 1936, in Connecticut, passed away September 23, 2012.

Marilyn was raised in the Meriden, Connecticut with her family : father, Peter; mother, Marion; sisters, Josephine and Rosalie; and brother Peter. As a traditional Italian family, they spent countless hours living, laughing, dancing, and, of course, eating. Many of the values we live with today were inspired by her family and have been expanded as the family married. We are now a conglomerate of Grillo's, Pagano's, Glorioso's, Marinelli's, Passamano's, Bennet's, Budreau's, and Cordero's. Mom was proud of her family and the nature in which we shared.

She married Maurice D. Pagano in June 1956 and raised a family of three boys, not including all the surrogate children who came into her life. In late 1970, the family moved to California where they remain today. Son Mike lives in Colorado; Rick, in Glendora; Paul, in Upland. In total, she had 4 grandchildren, Cheris, Lisa, Michael, and Laura; and 6 great-grandchildren, Seandra, Alex, David, Melanie, Nicholas, and Sophia. During this time, she lived in Monrovia, West Covina, and Upland.

As we remember Marilyn, know that she would not want us to be saddened by her passing. She made many a statement as to her desire for us to celebrate her life and laugh the hearty laugh that she demonstrated every day. Marilyn was a proud and dignified woman who commanded respect and love. Everywhere she went she brought levity and smiles. So in her passing, pay her the highest compliment; dance, laugh, sing, eat, and most definitely, go to the casino and throw in a nickel. That would most assuredly make her smile.

We love you Marilyn, Pat, and Mom!
