Grace Tanglao

May 21, 1958 — June 17, 2025

Long Beach, CA

Grace Tanglao, a cherished mother, devoted wife, and beloved sister, passed away on June 17, 2025. Born on May 21, 1958, in the Philippines, Grace's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness, warm spirit, and deep love for her family.

Grace had a remarkable career as a registered nurse, specializing in the Operating Room of Labor and Delivery, where she diligently served as a circulating nurse. Through her years of service, she touched many lives, earning the respect and admiration of both colleagues and patients alike. Her dedication extended beyond her profession; she was known for her infectious smile, contagious laugh, and her unique ability to make others feel at ease. Grace's heart was ever generous, filled with compassion and a soft touch that drew people to her.

Her family remembers her fondly, sharing treasured childhood memories. Aaron, her son, recalls commuting to Makati for hours, savoring salted corn with butter during their trips together. It was during these moments that he felt the warmth of her presence, especially considering the time she spent working overseas. Andrew cherishes their walks to and from school in Downey, particularly the detours they would take through Stonewood Mall, where they shared snacks and did some window shopping. Adriel fondly remembers the days he would drive her home from work at St. Francis, always smiling as she prayed for all the medical staff before leaving, despite the playful frustration of waiting longer than expected at pick-up. Benjamin, her husband of 39 years, "Grace and I shared a life full of love, laughter, and faith. Through every high and low, we leaned on God and each other, building a life we were proud of especially with our kids by our side. She was my partner in everything faith, family, and reaching our dreams. Some of our best memories were traveling together as a family, those moments will be cherished forever. More than anything, I’ll miss caring for her, making sure she has what she needs, and treating her like our baby. Her absence leaves a deep void, and we’ll miss her more than words can express."

Grace's personality radiated warmth and kindness. She had a corny sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her, always thinking of others before herself. Her passion for family was evident in her hobbies; she adored collecting designer handbags, fell in love with orchids (although they had never loved her back), and found comfort in watching her favorite shows on TFC. Above all, she loved the Lord, and the moments spent giving to her family, especially her grandkids, which brought her the greatest joy.

Grace's proudest achievements included being a faithful church member at Pacific Baptist Church and earning the title of "Giver of the Year," reflecting her boundless generosity. The joy of raising her three sons, Aaron, Andrew, and Adriel, filled her heart with pride and satisfaction.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Benjamin Tanglao, her loving sons, Aaron, Andrew, and Adriel, her amazing grandchildren, Aubrie, Arielle, Rowan, and Bella, and her caring siblings Susan Limcaco, Joi Pechardo, Conrado Jr. Rolda, and Annie Rolda. Grace also is preceded in death by her mother, Adoracion Mibulos, her father, Conrado Rolda, and her siblings, Constantine Rolda and Lerrie Azucena.

A viewing for Grace will be held at Pacific Baptist Church in Long Beach, California, on July 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM. Visitation will take place on July 11, 2025, at Forest Lawn - Long Beach - Memorial Chapel, starting at 1:00 PM, followed by another funeral service that day at 5:00 PM.

As we say goodbye to Grace, we remember a life beautifully lived, filled with love, kindness, and laughter. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone who knew her, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the memories of her family and friends.
