Marie B. Ramos

Marie Bautista Ramos entered eternal rest at the age of 81 on December 12, 2023, with her family by her side. Born on April 1, 1942, in Manila, Philippines, she resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the time of her passing, but also called Carson, California, her home.

Marie was the youngest of five children and was often referred to as Nene, which means little girl in Filipino. She graduated from Feati University in Manila, Philippines, with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. It was in college where she met her husband, Ramon, and when their love story and adventures together began. They got married right after and had five children (four births with a set of twins). She had lived briefly in Palawan and then in Quezon City before moving to California with her family of seven in July 1982.

Marie was a devoted wife and mother and was always kind and compassionate to everyone and anyone she met. She loved to cook and had unparalleled culinary skills, especially with her delectable Filipino dishes and desserts—palabok, dinuguan, laing, ube halaya, leche flan—just to name a few. Her home was always open for family and friends who would come and visit or stay for a while. She was warm, welcoming, and generous.

Marie was also tenacious and strong-willed—admirable qualities that she possessed throughout her life and until the very end. She fought her battles with unwavering strength and spirit.
