Marie Catherine Ranlett Hutsler-Rolf, 99, born on March 09, 1924, in New Orleans, LA, United States and passed away November 08, 2023. She was educated at the Eleanor McCain School for Girls in New Orleans. She attended Riverside College in Riverside, CA, where she was editor of the college newspaper. She attended the University of California at Los Angeles School for Interior Design. Before retirement, she was a partner in the interior design firm Carousel Designs International which did business in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, CA. Active in many civic, patriotic, and charitable organizations, she was a life member of the Navy League and was given the Theodore Roosevelt Award by that organization for lifetime of service. She was also involved with the Freedom Foundation, the Beverly Hills Pops Orchestra, the World Affairs Council of Los Angeles, and several support groups for Pepperdine University and several art museums in California. In 1989 she was installed in the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem, Grand Priory of America; and she is immediate past president of the Bel Air Guild of the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She resided in Los Angeles, CA at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her husbands John C. Hutsler and Bruce B. Rolf, her daughter Shelley Hutsler, and her son John Hutsler. She is survived by daughter Margaret Sasena (Richard), son Francis Hutsler, daughter-in-laws Patty Hutsler and Barbara Sasena, and son-in-law Frank Stefan; grandsons Michael Sasena, James Hutsler, John Hutsler (Alyssa), Michael Hutsler (Vivian), and Maxwell Stefan; granddaughters Shelley Keeney (Jay), Jennifer Sasena, and Elizabeth Stefan. Her great granddaughters are Mia Noelle Keeney, Lucy Anne Sasena, and Grace Harper Hutsler. Her great grandsons are Dylan Jay Keeney, Owen Michael Keeney, and Michael James Sasena. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Glendale, CA. Funeral will be at The Little Church of the Flowers at 9AM on Saturday December 2, 2023
