Marie V. (abbisso) Ferrandi

Newton, NH: Marie V. (Abbisso) Ferrandi, 92, a resident of Newton since 1980 and a former resident of Salem, NH and East Boston, MA, died on October 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Boston and raised and educated in East Boston, daughter of the late Salvatore and Fanny (Ferracci) Abbisso, she graduated from East Boston High School. Mrs. Ferrandi was employed as a seamstress for Piccirillo Clothing Manufacturer in East Boston for many years.

A member of St. Luke the Evangelist, Mrs. Ferrandi enjoyed cooking, especially Sunday family dinners, and caring for her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Ferrandi in 1980, and is survived by four sons, Joseph D. Ferrandi of Newton, NH, Salvatore F. Ferrandi of Amesbury, MA, Phillip Ferrandi of Newton, NH, and Rudolph "Rudy" Ferrandi, Jr. and his wife Collette of Newton, NH, two daughters, Carmella Goff and her husband Richard of Newton, NH, and Rosemarie G. Ferrandi of Amesbury, MA, a brother, Rocco Abbisso of North Andover, MA, a sister, Josephine Milano of Somerville, MA, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her white boxer, "Casper", and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Abbisso, and her sister, Tina Buttilieri. She was followed in death by her sister, Rose Gilbert, on Sunday, October 11.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Ferrandi's Life Celebration on Wednesday, October 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mary Mother of the Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Newton, NH.
