It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maricela Andrade, a loving mother, remarkable wife, doting daughter, good sister, and an incredibly hard-working woman. Maricela's courageous battle with cancer came to an end on April 25, 2024. She was 47 years old.

Maricela was born in Jalisco, Mexico on December 22, 1976. She was the fourth child of ten and was an amazing daughter and sister. A confidante, and mentor to all her siblings and their families. She moved to the United States at the age of 15 and spent the next 32 years creating a beautiful life full of memories in Los Angeles, California. She went on to spend most of her life alongside her sister and best friend, Cruz.

Maricela loved working at Spira Manufacturing and made many strong and lasting friendships with a company that treated her like family. The last two years working at Spira, Maricela was given the opportunity to advance her professional career in a leadership role. She successfully completed several professional development online courses before her untimely diagnosis. Maricela was so proud of her educational and leadership accomplishments, and for that, our family would like to sincerely thank everyone at Spira Manufacturing.

Maricela is survived by her mother Margarita who raised her to have the unconditional faith that she carried to the very end. Maricela was predeceased by her father Tomas, and her grandparents. As mentioned, Maricela leaves behind all nine siblings, their spouses, and her adoring nieces and nephews. They include Cruz, Vicente, Armando, Jose, Ernesto, Jaime, Maria, Juan Carlos, and Jessica. Maricela is survived by her two children from her first marriage Jocelin, Kimberly, her husband Gabriel, and her darling baby boy (cat) Charlie.

Forever proud of her daughters, touting them as “her greatest accomplishments,” Jocelin and Kimberly gave Maricela strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all of the time. Maricela loved her family and would make a point to tell them that she loved and appreciated them as often as possible, sometimes with a hug but most frequently with a text and a nickname. (Princesas Hermosas for her daughters)

Maricela was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was so kind, empathetic, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Maricela was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

A message from her daughters, Jocelin and Kimberly.

Growing up, our beautiful mother was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a woman of strong faith, and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and always choosing to do what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to. Thank you for showing us what pure love, and kindness looks like in human form. Mom, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in paradise.

With love,

Jocelin and Kimberly

Jocelin y Kimberly
