Mariano Gayla Sanchez, Jr.

Mariano Gayla Sanchez, Jr., 88, born on December 31, 1931, in Philippines, son of Mariano Sanchez, Sr. and Petra Gayla Sanchez, passed away on August 8, 2020. He resided in Kapolei, HI at the time of his passing.

Mariano, fondly called Jun, graduated from the University of the East, class of 1953, with Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Accounting. He worked at Luzon Machineries, Reynolds Philippines, Dee Construction and Home Savings and Loan Association (Washington Mutual/Chase).

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Pazminda Parker and Nicomedes Sanchez, and brothers Bonifacio Sanchez and Samuel Sanchez. Surviving in addition to his wife Consolacion (Pimentel) Sanchez are his children, Charito Lazaro (Jorge), Mariano Sanchez III (Joy), Marco Sanchez (Bella), Cheryl Sanchez-Kazi (Waseem); nine grandchildren, Denise Lazaro, Michael Lazaro, Jenny Lazaro, Marvin Sanchez (Tiffany), Marlon Sanchez (Paula), Angelica Sanchez-Cayabyab (LA), Marcus Sanchez, Amber Kazi and Mikhail Kazi; three great-grandchildren, Ava Sanchez, Marius Sanchez and Lucas Sanchez; brothers Ismael Sanchez (Lourdes), Jose Rizal Sanchez and sister Rebecca Sanchez-Ovitt; and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held on August 18, 2020 at 12:30 pm at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.
