Marianne Krone

Marianne Krone, 65, of La Palma passed on June 17, 2013 and of a tragic car accident. She was born in Autenried Germany on November 12, 1947 to Eduard and Margarethe Hubner, along with her brother Fritz Hubner and sister Hannelore Mayr-Reisch. She met and fell in love with Lawrence Krone, who was serving in the US Army. They married on February 2, 1969 and moved to Southern California. Marianne's joy in life was her family. She was a dedicated mother to her three children Curtis Krone, Lance Krone and Colleen Pickens. She didn't stop with her children though, she helped many other people in need of help and guidance. Once her children were grown she went to college and received (with honors) a Bachelor's Degree from Cal State Long Beach. She started her career in the travel industry and worked for the cruise lines for more than 20 years. All of her children married and had children of their own. Her life became fully dedicated to her six grandchildren: Jordyn Krone (11), Jackson Krone (7), Kylie Pickens (4), Tyler Pickens(2), Wyatt Pickens(2) and Brooklyn Krone(5 months). She babysat all six with a smile and lots of love. Marianne's home was always open and filled with family and friends. She celebrated and made every occasion memorable and special. If they had to describe her, those that knew her would say that she was a classy lady who loved her family and made everyone feel special...many would say "she was like my second Mom." She was a Schatz, Mother and Oma that is already dearly missed. Her services will be held on June 26, 2013 at Forest Lawn, Cypress CA with visitation from 9:00am-10:30am and services at 11:30am. Reception to follow for family and close friends.
