On the morning of September 19, 2016, Marian Eula Armand Bowden finished her 68 years of dedicated service to Jehovah god, at the age of 78 Marian was born on April 21, 1938 in Bakersfield, California, to Leonard Brown Sr. and Minnie Brown. Marian was the youngest of seven children. Marian moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of 17. She graduated from Jefferson High School.

In 1959, Marian married Morris Armand. They spent 20 years sharing bible knowledge and raising their two children, Hortensia and Lynn.
Marian enjoyed traveling. Her favorite place was Hawaii. She traveled there at least 10 times. She enjoyed cruising. Marian also loved bowling and she loved animal, especially dogs. When Marian was not at the Kingdom Hall or pioneering, she would spend her weekends barbecuing with Sidney, Shirley and her sister Bernice. She was overjoyed when her daughter, Kim, was baptized, November 16, 2008.

Marian married Allen Bowden in 1982. They enjoyed attending congregation meetings of Jehovah 's Witness together.
Marian worked 20 years in banking. She also spent 20 years welcoming over 50 children in her care. Her love changed the lives of several children. One child, Patricia Jones, affectionately called "Peaches", has reunited with Marian and her family. She also obtained her Real Estate license and Notary license. When a loved one was ill she would rush over and support them with medication and herbal remedies. Marian would put others needs before her own. Marian's greatest love was her service to Jehovah, her children and grandchildren. Her last conversation was about missing her meeting because of her health.

Marian is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Minnie Brown.
Her siblings; Juanita, Leonard Jr, Wilma, Murtle, Bernice and Sidney Sr.
Her nieces; Emma Lou, Beverly and Suzanne. Her Great nephews; Emmett III, and Nick Striker.
She is survived by her sister in law, Shirley Brown.
Her Daughters; Hortensia, Lynn and Kimberly.
Grandchildren; Princess, Rasjean, Diamond, Paris, Dominique and Keleb. Nephews, Emmett II and his family.
Rudy and his family. Gordon and his family. Eric and his family. Timothy and Joey, as well as their family. Billy and his nieces; Emma Lee, Kathlyn and Linda and her 5 children. A host of family and friends.
Marian will be missed by all for her beautiful smile and loving heart.
