Maria Estrella Santos

Maria Estrella Santos, age 73, passed away on December 13, 2021 in Pasadena, California with her family by her side. She was born in Manila, Philippines to Alfredo and Josefa Dacumos on May 19, 1948, and was the eldest of seven children. Her aunt Milagros Garcia and family were key figures in her life since childhood. Maria immigrated to the United States in 1972 and married her husband, Fernando Santos, in 1977. With a degree in Commerce and Accounting, she was a civil servant for the County of Los Angeles for over 30 years. Maria is survived by her husband, two children Fernando Jr. and Nicole, two step-children Michelle and Anthony, as well as eight grandchildren. She was devout in her Catholic faith, loved to travel, and had a deep appreciation for books and the arts. She was known to all as kind-hearted, generous, and compassionate.

The Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 9:00am to 4:30pm at Forest Lawn Glendale. The Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30am on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles.
