Maria H. Pangilinan

Maria Pangilinan, a retired phlebotomist and former high school Chemistry teacher, has passed away on April 14, 2020 at the age of 81.
Maria is survived by her three children, Francis, Maria Eloisa and Paul. And also by her step children Eric and Pura. And by her 4 Grand children; Gabriel, Garrett, Gavin and Kayden. Maria was born December 16,1938 in the province in the Philippines, Camarines Norte in town of Paracale, to Eusebio and Conchita Hernandez. She was the youngest of 5 daughters. She graduated second in her class in Paracale high school. She worked for about 6 years enough to save for her college. She graduated from Araneta University with degree in Food Science. She eventually became a high school chemistry teacher in Lourdes High School in Quezon City in which she published a high school chemistry text book that was used for years. She made friendships that would last a lifetime. She was introduced to Emilio Pangilinan by a co teacher and mutual friend. They eventually would become friends and got married. They both had 2 children, Francis and Eloisa before reuniting in Los Angeles and had one more child, Paul. She worked as a phlebotomist for Kaiser for 20 years in which she also made life long friendships with the Kaiser family. In her spare time she loved Gardening and was addicted to Fishing in which she would fish with random people on the pier and would talk to them as they knew of each other for a long time. She also had time to obtain a patent for an invention. She has touched many peoples hearts with her endearing love, kindness, patience and infectious laughter. She will be missed by friends, family and all that knew her.
Her funeral services will be on April 27, 2020 9am in Forest Lawn Cypress in Cypress California.
