Maria Olimpia Alvarez

Maria Olimpia Alvarez, 92, of Whittier, CA, passed away on 11 March 2023. She was born on January 7, 1931 in Guazacapan, Sta. Rosa, Guatemala.  She had 8 siblings, 7 sisters and 1 brother.  She immigrated to the United States in 1958 and became a naturalized citizen in 1992.  She is a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and mother-in-law.  She is survived by her daughter, Maria, her only grandchild whom she adored, Nicolas, and son-in-law, Hector.

The family has entrusted Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, with the arrangements. Visitation and Burial will be held at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, and the Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Gregory the Great Church in Whittier, CA.
