Maria Lily Bautista Robeniol, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on May 27, 2024. She was born on November 20, 1943, in Nalsian, Manaoag, Pangasinan, Philippines. Lily, as she's known by everyone, relocated to the United States on July 7, 1976, and resided in Los Angeles, CA. She married Rogelio Tabayoyong Robeniol on December 22, 1979, purchased their first and forever home, and had their one and only son, Jeffrey, on May 7, 1984. On February 5, 1997 her beloved husband, Rogelio, passed away. Lily took on both roles to raise her son and devoted her time as being a mother. She juggled two jobs, raising her son, and helping family and friends. She eventually retired from Bank of America and Villa Gardens Retirement Community. After retirement, she devoted her life and time to Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church and created a community of friends.
Lily was someone who always put the needs of others before her own. She was a selfless woman, even with little to no sleep, she prioritized the importance of lending a helping hand to those around her. She was known for her kind, caring, and generous personality. Lily was also known for her boisterous laugh and her ability to start a conversation with anyone. Her love for helping people extended beyond her professional life as she actively participated in many church activities, finding solace and purpose in her faith. She had many friends, some so close they were an extension of her family.
Lily is survived by her son Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Audrey, grandsons Derrin and Evan, sisters Hermie and Jovita, brothers Amado, German, Santiago Jr., and Romeo, and half-sister Cynthia. She now joins her late and beloved husband Rogelio, father Santiago Capistrano Bautista Sr., and mother Rosenda Godoy Bautista.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation events scheduled at Forest Lawn - Glendale on June 27th and June 28th anytime between 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on June 29th at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Los Angeles at 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A burial will immediately follow the funeral service and will take place at Forest Lawn - Glendale.
Lily will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy of compassion and service lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
