Katrina Lozada

Maria Katrina Lozada, age 44, of San Diego, California, passed away on March 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manila, Philippines, on October 7, 1980, Katrina was one of the dearest daughters of Vicky and Abe Lozada. She was raised in West Covina, California, attended West Covina High School, and completed her AA degree at Mount San Antonio College.

Katrina met the love of her life, Adam, at ADP. They started dating the day after Thanksgiving 10 years ago and had their first date at The Ice House in Pasadena, where they saw comedian Maz Jobrani. Katrina was nervous and confessed to Adam that she didn’t get jokes and was anxious about the show. Over the years, she attended many comedy shows with Adam and grew to love the experience. After Adam moved to San Diego, Katrina soon followed, and they lived there together for almost nine years. Their partnership of 10 years was marked by love, strength, devotion, and laughter—a bond that remained steadfast. Katrina and Adam were each other’s world.

Katrina devoted 12 years to ADP, where she began as a temp payroll specialist and later worked full time. After relocating to San Diego to be with Adam, she worked as a payroll specialist for Rady Children's Hospital. She always brought fun and laughter to her workplace and made many friends wherever she worked.

Beyond her professional life, Katrina had a deep love for the outdoors. She enjoyed going to the beach, hiking, camping, and playing Pokémon Go. Later, she discovered a love for running. She participated in various half marathons and recently fulfilled her dream of completing her first marathon in Los Angeles, finishing in 4 hours and 46 minutes.

Katrina found joy in traveling with Adam, relishing everything from the '90s, and attending concerts by Gin Blossoms, Incubus, and Big Time Rush. She cherished spending time with her family, especially when visiting West Covina, and she loved spoiling her only nephew, Hunter.

She leaves behind her partner Adam; her loving sisters, Maria (Jaime) and Ariana (Jerry); her only nephew, Hunter; her mother, Vicky; her father, Abe; a tight-knit extended family; and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, at the Tribute Center Forest Lawn Covina Hills, 21300 Via Verde St, Covina, CA 91724. Katrina’s funeral services will be on April 26, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, at the Church of Our Heritage, Forest Lawn Covina Hills, 21300 Via Verde St, Covina, CA 91724, and she will later be laid to rest at the same location.
