Maria De Jesus Estrada

Maria de Jesus “Chuy” Estrada, 88 years old of Palm Springs, California, peacefully went to be with our Lord on July 18, 2023 surrounded by her loving family . Maria was born on August 11, 1934, in Durango, Mexico. She was the youngest of 12 children and had a loving, memorable upbringing. While visiting her sister Belem in California, Maria met and fell in love with her future husband Roberto A. Guerrero. They married in Durango, Mexico and migrated to the United States in 1957 where they raised six children in Palm Springs, Ca. Self-taught, she became a skilled seamstress with an eye for fashion, working for a high end dress salon in the Spa Hotel “Sax of Palm Springs” in the 1980’s. Later, with her strong faith in the Lord and love for people, she took to church fundraising for parish events, serving her community. Maria passed down to her children and those who knew her strength, the ability to overcome any situation with one's true effort and full faith in the Lord.  Maria (mom) will be missed by many for her huge heart, warmth and faith. Maria was preceded in death by her father, mother, two brothers and five sisters; her sons Michael and Victor Guerrero. She is survived by her kids: Gina (and Hector) Sandoval, Patti (and Mike) Beeler, Herb (and Diane) Guerrero, Robert (and Aurora) Guerrero and by her eleven grandchildren. Sam and Lillie Aguilar, David Faul; Justin and Shelby Sorour; Michael, Allyson and Matthew Guerrero; Noah Guerrero, and Joseph and Kelsey Guerrero. And eight great grandchildren: Isis Aguilar, Nevaeh Bass , Nathan Brito - Aguilar, Serenity Bass, Adriana Faul, Sebastian Bass, Ryder Sorour and Capri Tommasino.
