María Ignacia Guzmán Ramos, de 74 años, nacida el 1 de febrero de 1952 en Jala, Nayarit, México, falleció en paz el 22 de febrero de 2026 en el estado de Washington. Fue hija de Antonia Ramos Altamirano y J. Trinidad Guzmán Mencias, y fue conocida con cariño como “Nacha” y “Doña Mari”.

Le sobreviven sus hermanos Doroteo, Jesús y Magdaleno, así como sus hijos Rogelio y Elizabeth.

Desde muy joven, María demostró fortaleza y resiliencia, comenzando a trabajar a los 9 años en el mercado de Jala para apoyar a su familia. De joven adulta, se trasladó a Los Ángeles, California, donde vivió durante una década antes de mudarse a Salinas, California. Posteriormente, trabajó durante 23 años en los campos agrícolas del Valle de Salinas, demostrando siempre dedicación, esfuerzo y perseverancia.

En 1999, se mudó al estado de Washington con el sueño de brindar una mejor vida a sus hijos. Sin tener familia cercana, eran solo ellos tres, y enfrentó esta nueva etapa con valentía y determinación. Fue una madre soltera ejemplar, entregada y amorosa, que hizo innumerables sacrificios y siempre estuvo presente para sus hijos. Los motivó a aprender, crecer y salir adelante, y siempre estuvo apoyándolos en sus eventos deportivos. A lo largo de su vida, demostró una gran fortaleza ante las adversidades, enfrentando cada desafío con resiliencia y entereza.

María fue una mujer de profunda fe, que encontraba consuelo en la oración y en agradecer a Dios y a la Virgen de Guadalupe. Disfrutaba la música, especialmente el mariachi y la banda, y le gustaba cantar su canción favorita, “Mi Gusto Es”. También encontraba alegría en cocinar, siempre preparando sus comidas con amor para todos, así como en viajar, cuidar sus plantas y compartir momentos con su familia y amistades.

Será recordada por su lealtad, su bondad y su espíritu alegre. Una mujer de gran generosidad y noble corazón, que siempre puso a los demás antes que a sí misma. Fue una gran amiga y, sobre todo, un ser humano extraordinario que tocó la vida de muchos.

En sus últimos momentos, María estuvo acompañada por sus hijos, rodeada de amor y en paz. Se mantuvo con gracia, optimismo y una cálida sonrisa.

Ahora descansa en paz, en la presencia de Dios. Su familia encuentra consuelo en saber que algún día volverán a reunirse con ella.

Su amor permanecerá por siempre en nuestros corazones.

With no extended family nearby, it was just the three of them, and she faced this new chapter with courage and determination. She was a devoted single mother who gave unconditional love and made countless sacrifices, always ensuring she was present for her children. She encouraged them to learn, grow, and pursue meaningful futures, and was always there supporting them at their sporting events. Throughout her life, she showed incredible strength through hardship, facing challenges with resilience and grace.

Maria was a woman of deep faith who found comfort in prayer and in giving thanks to God and the Virgen de Guadalupe. She loved music, especially mariachi and banda, and enjoyed singing her favorite song, “Mi Gusto Es.” She also found joy in cooking, always preparing meals with love for anyone, as well as traveling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

She will be remembered for her loyalty, kindness, and joyful spirit. A woman of deep kindness and generosity, she always placed others before herself. She was a woman with a generous heart, a faithful friend, and a remarkable human being who touched the lives of many.

In her final moments, Maria was surrounded by her children, held in love and at peace. She carried herself with grace, optimism, and a warm smile.

She is now at peace, resting in the presence of God. Her family finds comfort in knowing they will one day be reunited with her.
