Maria Emma Granados died on October 23, 2018 at the age of 91. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren survive her. She was born in El Salvador and moved to the United States in pursuit of a better life. Every day of her life was filled with risks and choices that lead to a building of her legacy. La Abuela's goal each day was to connect with others and encourage them to pursue their goals even when they felt they could not.
She was passionate about building relationships and ensuring that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were always loved and taken care of. In her old age, she made every effort to ensure that she spoke positivity and love into her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
La Abuela will forever be remembered and missed by all whom she connected with.
