María Guadalupe “Lupita” Aguayo passed away on October 22, 2023, peacefully in her Los Angeles home surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on September 1, 1931 to Guadalupe and Gabina Aguayo in Yahualica, Jalisco Mexico, where she spent her childhood and early adulthood. In 1956, she married Esteban Mejia and had 6 children. Lupita immigrated to the United States in 1972 where she spent the subsequent 51 years paving the way to create a life for herself, her children and those who came after her. Lupita is predeceased by her son, Antonio, and she is survived by her children: Elizabeth, Rick, Jerry, Marisela, and Carmelia. As well as her grandchildren: Crystal, Chris, Johnathan, Cynthia, Caitlyn, Jazzlyn, Ricky, Randie, Tanya, Ryane and great-grandchildren: Camilla and Braxton. Lupita lived a life full of devotion to the Lord, selfless sacrifices, hard work and endless love. Her services will be held on November 7, 2023 at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles, CA.
