Marguerite Frances Lancellotti 87 of Long Beach, CA passed away peacefully in her sleep
on Friday August 10th 2012 of natural causes.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
A viewing will be held at the Forrest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, CA 90630 on Friday August 17, 2012 between the hours of 5 and 9 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday August 18th 2012 at the Church of Our Fathers on the Forrest Lawn address list.
She was born Marguerite France Hyde March of 1925 in East Boston to Robert and Margret Hyde. Marguerite grew up in Dorchester MA and attended Dorchester high school.
After Graduation She worked as an operator for what was known as New England Telephone Company. During WWII she was assigned to work in San Francisco, CA and fell in love with the state. Marguerite worked almost thirty years for the same company on both coasts.
In 1951 Marguerite married Anthony Lancellotti, the love of her life in Boston, MA. They lived in Braintree, MA until moving to Long Beach, CA. in 1974. "Tony" passed away in 1988 and was waiting for his bride to join him in eternity.
Marguerite enjoyed many things in life and was always on the go. She had a deep love of her family and friends. She spent a lot of time traveling and visiting old and new friends across the country. She was a member of the Red Hatters Society where she enjoyed the camaraderie of this famous woman's group.
Marguerite also had a great love of animals. Her greatest love was for her dog JD who provided her with lots of love and affection.
Marguerite is survived by her only son Robert Lancellotti and daughter-in law, Laurie, grand children Amanda Lancellotti, Christopher Lancellotti and his wife Devon, and Linsey Lancellotti. Great grandchildren include Danica and Giada Lancellotti. Additional grand children included Mary Ann Labs, Patrick O'Toole, Dean Lancellotti, Christine Morel, numerous great children, and a host of other family members and friends.
