Margarita Zuniga, born in 1940, passed away peacefully in February 2026. She was a remarkable woman whose vibrant spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, Margarita had a gift for bringing joy to any room. Her humor created an atmosphere of warmth and light that made people feel instantly at ease.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Margarita’s love for her family was boundless. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, sharing stories, wisdom, and affection that reflected her deep devotion to them. Her nurturing presence and unwavering support were constants in the lives of those she loved.
Margarita had a lifelong passion for flowers. Their beauty and serenity brought her joy, and she surrounded herself with vibrant blooms that mirrored her own colorful personality. She loved gatherings, celebrations, and the company of others—truly a social butterfly who thrived in moments of connection.
Margarita’s life will be honored with a visitation on March 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Forest Lawn – Cathedral City, Ramon Chapel, located at 69855 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, CA 92234.
A funeral service will follow on March 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the same location: Forest Lawn – Cathedral City, Ramon Chapel, 69855 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, CA 92234.
Following the service, Margarita will be laid to rest at Palm Springs Cemetery, located at 31-705 Da Vall Drive, Cathedral City, CA 92234.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Margarita Zuniga will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for the joy, love, and laughter she brought into the world.
