Margarita Mendoza Guterriez Obituary

Margarita Mendoza Guterriez, 81 of Coachella, CA. passed away on July 2, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on October 16, 1942, in Coalcomán, Michoacan, Mexico. 

She married Ramiro Mendoza Moreno on January 8, 1967 in Iglesia Santo Santiago in Coalcomán Michoacan. She worked as a migrant farmworker until her retirement in 2007. She was a proud card-carrying member of the United Farm Workers. Those who knew her well knew her for her devoted Catholic faith. She drew the most joy from being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved hosting family gatherings and volunteering to cook for many community events. 

She is survived by her husband Ramiro Mendoza Moreno, and her children Sandra Mendoza of Riverside CA., Ramiro Mendoza II of Moreno Valley CA., Laura Hernandez of Highland CA., and Asalia Quintero of Indio CA. 15 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter also survive her. She was preceded in death by her son, Filiberto Mendoza, and a grandson Ramiro Mendoza III. 

 Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on July 18th, 2024 with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 51-990 Jackson in Coachella, CA. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19th, 2024 at the same location. Burial will be at Coachella Valley Cemetery with Forst Lawn in charge of arrangements.
