Margaret Mary Wilkerson, our beloved Mom, Nana, Big Nana, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Cousin & Friend went home to our Heavenly Father on January 3, 2018. Margaret was born on September 10, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended Hallahan High School, she worked at the Naval Base in Philadelphia, where she met the love of her life, John Milton Wilkerson, they were married in 1946. Margaret was proud to be a Navy Wife and was an active member of the NAVY RELIEF SOCIETY, where she mentored many young Navy Wives. She was also in charge of the TEEN CLUB on the Charleston Navy Base, where she held multiple dances & dinners.. Most of her 31 year career as a Navy Wife was spent in Charleston, South Carolina, but the last four years of her 31 year career as a Navy wife was in California! Margaret & John made their home in Cypress, California, where Margaret became active with the Juliet Morris Elementary School PTA, she was an active Parishoner of Saint Ireaneus Catholic Church, where she taught Catechism, she was a member of the parish until the day she passed. Margaret was active in Cypress Little League as a Team Mom, Cypress Youth Baseball as a volunteer, Cypress High School Athletic Boosters working Bingo, in more recent years, she became active in Challenger/Champion Basesball for Special Needs Athletes, Pop Warner Challenger Football & Cheer where she became Big Nana to a whole new generation of children.& Special Olympics Cheer for the 2015 Reach UP LA games where she cheered on the athletes. Margaret's life of volunteering continued with her participation & support of her grandchildren & great grandchildren.. Margaret lived her life to the fullest until she physically couldn't!! To the World she was our Mom, Nana & Big Nana, but to us she was our world,

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Pat & Rose McCormick, her brothers, Frank & Matt McCormick, her beloved husband of 50 years, John Milton Wilkerson, her grandson, William Earl "Billy" Cammons and her step daughter, Donna Wilkerson Daughtry.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Joan Mary Collins & son-in-law Gayle Collins, her daughter, Carol Ann Wilkerson, her granddaughters, Lauri Daughtry, Missy (Lowell) Smith, Brigid Erin Collins Van Dyke Flores, her grandsons, Alan (Lisa) Daughtry & JP Wilkerson; her great-grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Zalimeni , Kelsey Zalimeni, Grant Van Dyke, Gavin Van Dyke, Blake Smith, Viveca Flores-Wilkerson, Francisco Flores-Wilkerson & Matthew Daughtry, her sister-in-law Joyce McCormick, her cousin, Lorretta Haines and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on January 18, 2018 @ 2:30 p.m. Cypress Forest Lawn Garden of Protection 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California 90630.
