Peggy Tasaka devoted her heart to teaching the children of our community and to supporting fellow teachers and new educators finding their way. She believed deeply in learning as a lifelong journey and reminded everyone around her to find joy and purpose along the way.
In her classrooms, music was part of everyday life—her guitar and recorder brought beauty, calm, and happiness to what might have otherwise been ordinary moments. She gave so much of herself to every school and every family she worked with, always believing that education is strongest when it includes the whole community.
She proudly served at John Kelly, Valley View, Palm View, Cesar Chavez, and Cahuilla Desert Academy. While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that her influence lives on through the countless lives she touched. The seeds she planted through kindness, patience, and passion are deeply rooted and will continue to grow for generations.
