Margaret Gaynor/Montgomery/ Seraphin

Margaret Cecilia Seraphin, 72, born on March 26, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, passed away November 22, 2016.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Margaret grew up in Hawthorne, CA and graduated in 1962 from Morningside High School in Inglewood, CA. She was a hairdresser by trade and owned and operated M. Montgomery Hair & Nail Designs in Torrance, CA in the '80's and 90's. In addition to being a successful hairdresser, Margaret was a talented artist who loved abstract art. Margaret loved being near the ocean, harbor cruises on the Wanderer, spending time with her family & friends and always liked to have fun. Margaret's passing comes as a sudden shock and surprise to us all. She just started to feel good again after a long recovery from a medical battle. She was out and about socializing with friends and even just returned from a week long cruise. She loved the cruise so much she was already planning another one. Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Seraphin earlier this year.

She is survived by her two sons, Sean Montgomery (Colette) & David Montgomery (Molly) and her 5 grandchildren that she loved so much, Jonathan, Ryan, Lauren, Callaghan and August Montgomery. Margaret was a kind, loving, strong, independent woman that will be missed by many. She resided in Long Beach, California, at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
