Obituary

Margaret “Margo” Crumley-Keller

Written mostly by Mago well before her passing:

Margaret, or Margo as she was known, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, while residing at Bayshire-San Dimas.  Margo is predeceased by her second husband, Charles W. Keller, Jr. She is survived by two nephews, Donald Lockery and Keith Lockery; two nieces, Deborah Lockery and Cynthia Vaillancourt, and many great nieces and nephews. Margo was also predeceased by her first husband, Robert Prince Crumley, with whom she had been married for 30 years. They were married in 1964, and Robert “Bob” passed away in 1993. Bob had two daughters, Susan Crumley and Sandra Kalomiris, and three grandchildren. In recent years, she was held closely in the hands of her caring friends, Rick and Liz Sandona of La Verne and their entire family.

Margo was the youngest daughter of four children growing up in Connecticut. Growing up in local schools, she was an accomplished baton twirler, often marching with the High School Band. She came to Southern California in 1960 and, after living in Pasadena for a short time, moved to Arcadia, where she resided for 27 years. She moved to San Dimas, the Via Verde area, in 1988. Margo worked as the Officer Manager for Clarke Directory Publications for 20 years and retired in 1999 when she met and married Charles Keller of Glendora. Charles had two children, Charles W. Keller, III, and Marie Mota, and two grandchildren. While living in Arcadia, Margo worked for the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce and the Arcadia Tournament of Roses Association and was a very active member of the Altrusa Club of Arcadia. After moving to San Dimas, Margo became a very active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Glendora, where she served as the Senior Warden, Stewardship Chairperson, Lay Eucharistic Minister, and Lay Reader. In their final years, Margo enjoyed living at the Serento Gardens in Via Verde San Dimas, later becoming Bayshire – San Dimas, where she enjoyed and had many friends. She so loved the staff and caretakers of Bayshire.

Note:  Services for Margo will be hosted at Grace Episcopal Church, 555 East Mountain View, Glendora, CA, on Sunday, March 15th, at 2 P.M.  There will be a reception to follow the service in Baxter Hall.  All in honor of our dear Margo.
