Haverhill, MA: Margaret L. "Peg" (Davidson) Fitzgerald, 87, a resident of Haverhill for thirty-two years and a former resident of Somerville, MA, died on March 3, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of thirty-six years to the late Thomas Fitzgerald. Born, raised, and educated in Somerville, MA, daughter of the late Ivan "Victor" and Mary (Henderson) Davidson, Peg moved from Somerville to Haverhill in 1983 to be near her family after the death of her husband. Peg was also a wintertime resident of Naples, FL.

Peg retired from Jordon Marsh in Boston after thirty years of service. She was the founder of the Haverhill Widow and Widowers Group at the V.F.W Lorraine Post and belonged to the St. Clair Guild for the Blind.

Peg was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed her country music, bible study, and her weekly scratch tickets. She remained at home under the care of her daughter, Mary Gray, whom she lived with, and the wonderful support of the Merrimack Valley Hospice.

Peg is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Margaret and James Gray of Haverhill, Ethel and Charles Kelson of Naples, FL, and Jane and Carl Artz of East Hampstead, NH, eight grandchildren, James Gray, Jr., Jannine Gary-Fetty, Chuckie Kelson, Jr., Maggie (Kelson) Gates, Margaret "Meg" (Artz) Fitzgerald, Shannon (Artz) Trull, Melinda (Artz) Mellor, and Lori Merkel, sixteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Thomas Gray and Robert Artz, and her two sisters and two brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Peg's Life Celebration on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in Lowell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
