Marcus Ray Helm Jr.

March 30, 1988 — July 1, 2019

Marcus Ray Helm Jr. was born on March 30, 1988 to the union of Marcus Ray Helm Sr. and Josie Cantu. Marcus was born 4th of 5 siblings. Marcus received his Elementary education at Cielo Vista Elementary School (Palm Springs, CA), Middle School education at Nellie N. Coffman Middle School (Cathedral City, CA), and High School Education at Cathedral City High School (Cathedral City, CA). Marcus was a long time area resident of the Coachella Valley. He worked doing cabinetry at Technique Designs, INC in Palm Springs, CA. Marcus enjoyed riding ATV's, attending car shows, traveling, and sightseeing. Marcus loved spending time with friends and attending gatherings. He has a special place in his heart for family. Marcus loved spending quality time with his family and attending family functions. Family was a priority and very important part of his life. On November 25, 2013 Marcus became a Father for the first time. He was a proud and loving Father right from the start. Being a wonderful Father was one of his great ambitions. Marcus loved spending time with his children especially shopping, going to the park, trips to the beach, family dinners, children's activity centers, holidays, and Birthdays. His biggest wish was for his Sons to know how much he loved them. Please help his family to carry on the memories of Marcus to his young children. "If there is any immortality to be had among us human beings, it is certainly only in the love that we leave behind. Fathers like mine don't ever die." - Leo Buscaglia. Marcus proceeded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Jesus and Matilde Cantu; his Paternal Grandparents Eugene Helm and Tishey Nelson Winkler; and his Uncle Bernard Winkler Sr. Marcus, age 31, departed this earthly life on July 1, 2019 at his residence in Desert Hot Springs, CA. He leaves to cherish his memory, his Mother, Josie Cantu, his Father, Marcus Ray Helm Sr., his Step Father, Carlos Batres, his two young Sons, Garrett and Samson Helm (Serina D.), his three Sisters, Bernadette Berntsen, Gloria Perez, Markita R.
