Marcos attended his Primary school in Guadalajara, Mexico. He worked for the Postal office Oficina de Correos (Conductor Postal en Guadalajara, Mexico). As time went by, he met a gentleman named Alberto Hernandez Diaz, not knowing that it was going to change his life, and introduced him to his bakery called - LA PROVIDENCIA Panaderia y Pasteleria, which was in Guadalajara Jalisco. It is here where he learned to bake and run a bakery. He also worked for the Company- BIMBO Bread Bakeries.During his time in the post office, he met and fell in love with his now wife Alicia Alcala, and the two would be wed on June 8th, 1969. Shortly after marriage, they had their first Daughter, Laura Alicia. Following second was their daughter Griselda, then 3rd was their first son Marcos Jr. and then their youngest son, Estevan. He also Attended church as a member of The Seventh Day Adventist religion community which he attended church every Saturday.

He absolutely loved many jobs that he had, Calco Space Facility, Meyer Tool Company and Costco Wholesale. It was at Costco where he retired after 15 years. He loved spending time with his lovely wife Alicia , having breakfast together everyday, enjoying his cafe con su pan, but a big part of his joy was with his Grandchildren, Family and friends who he adored. He loved talking to all of his friends, who always told him that he was such a wonderful friend in return with a great sense of humor. He  was also always there to help out his friends and family when in need. He loved Menudo on Sunday mornings with family and spending time in his garage listening to his favorite music. He also had a strong passion for Cars, his favorite of which being the iconic VW BUG who he did had many of in his years.

He also loved shopping at flea markets and exploring any great Antiques, he would get very happy when he came across a rare vintage item. He loved sharing his passions with his family, and would always share wonderful stories of his own life events, or simple trinkets and antiques he collected in that week. Marcos, our abuelito, was definitely a family man, he always told his family that  he loved them, every single day, and to also never give up our dreams. He said that his life was enriched beyond words by love and support of his beautiful wife Alicia, children Laura, Griselda, Marcos Jr. and Estevan, grandchildren, Sebastian, Mateo, Lauren, Sofia , Andrew and family. He will be missed tremendously. May you finally rest in peace dear Husband, Father and Abuelito.
