Marcelina De Jesus Widman

Marcelina De Jesus Widman was born on April 26, 1942, in the Philippines and passed away from heart failure on July 15, 2020. She resided in Cathedral City, CA at the time of her passing. Marcelina (Cely) emigrated to the Unites States in the 1970s and met and married her surviving spouse Albert, in 1981. Married for thirty eight years, their relationship and love was incredibly strong and was a blessing to their happiness.


Marcelina is survived by three sisters and despite being spread across the globe (Europe, New York, and the Philippines), she remained extremely close to them. She grieved the earlier passing of several sisters and a brother.. Many nephews and nieces share the love of their "Tita" and remained close to her despite the great distances.


Cely was a devoted Roman Catholic who dedicated herself completely to her religion. Her friends found her to be extraordinarily kind, caring, and gentle with a humor that was contagious. People who worked with her from decades past stayed in touch with her and join us in mourning her passing.


Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California. PLEASE NOTE SCHEDULE CHANGE: Viewing will Monday July 20 from 9:30 AM to 10 AM. Internment to immediately follow.
