Manuel Coson Gokim

Manuel Coson Gokim, "Manny" or "Manoling" to his loved ones, 77, born on April 16, 1938, in Dagupan City, Philippines, passed away January 14, 2016. He resided in La Palma, California at the time of his passing.

Manny attended San Beda College, then obtained his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines. He worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years, from Sales to Executive Management. He retired and immigrated to the U.S. in 2002 and became a "full-time grandfather."

He is survived by his wife, Allen K. Gokim, his children, Cris (Royden), Jojo (Adelle), Marie Antoinette, Marlon (Ines), and Matt, and his 9 grandchildren, Jared, Kaitlyn, Myka, Janelle, Rachael, Jamie, Mylah, Gabby and Mischa. He is also survived by his sisters, Gloria Tengco, Milagros (Manuel) Tagle, Felicidad (Lope) Gayla, and Loreto (George) Clemente; sisters-in-law, Lina, Aida and Irene; and brother-in-law, Ernie de los Reyes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gualberto, Sr. and Feliciana, and his brothers, Cesar, Gonzalo, and Bert; sister, Lily; and brother-in-law, Laurentino.
