Manuel D. Cota

Manuel D. Cota, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 20th at his home in Palm Desert. Manuel was born on December 14, 1930 in Sonora, Mexico and married Lydia Moreno on October 4, 1953. Manuel worked in construction for 50 years and has owned Aviar Travel for the past 35 years along with his wife, Lydia.

Previous memberships include, Treasurer for the Coachella Valley Lions Club for over five years. Manuel is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lydia, daughter, Sandra E. Henderson- Owings and son, Daniel M. Cota. Manuel's grandchildren are Diandra Porter, Casandra Bertotti, Derik Henderson, Allen Cota, and Matthew Cota. He also enjoyed spending time with his nine great-grandchildren. Manuel was a hardworking, intelligent, successful and extremely kind-hearted man.

Dad- mom, your children, grand and great-grand children will miss you terribly. Visitation will be 7:00PM July 5, 2017 with a Rosary at Forest Lawn Ramon Chapel in Cathedral City. Funeral Mass will be 10:00AM July 6, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palm Desert. Following the funeral the Internment will be at 1:30 PM at Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside, California Forest Lawn in Cathedral City is in charge of arrangements.
