Mae Dixon, beloved matriarch, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away October 9, 2024, in Broomfield, Colorado. Born on March 1, 1929, in Duluth, Minnesota, Mae's remarkable journey through life was filled with unwavering love, resilience, and joy.

At the age of 70, Mae retired from her fulfilling career at Boeing, a workplace she valued not just for its professional opportunities but also for the wonderful relationships she formed there. Her career was a testament to her work ethic, reflected in her determination to return to school in her fifties to earn a degree in computer science. This achievement showcased her unrelenting spirit and lifelong dedication to learning.

Mae was the heart and soul of every family gathering. A true Italian at heart, she loved to cook and entertain, filling the air with the mouthwatering scents of her delicious meals. Celebrating any occasion with family was her greatest joy, and she always went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt the warmth of her generosity. The music of her life was ever-present, whether through attending musicals, plays, or concerts, bringing vibrancy and laughter into her home.

Her personality shone brightly; she was sweet and kind but held a will of steel, especially when it came to her family. Mae was proud of her lineage, and her loving nature left a profound impact on all those fortunate enough to know her. She was a tireless worker, embodying the spirit of the Energizer Bunny, always pushing forward and inspiring others in her path.

Mae’s legacy will live on through her loving daughter Dawn Thomas, her son Danny, and daughter-in-law Sally. She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren: Emily Thomas Theobold, Andrew, Matthew, Michael, and Adam Dixon, alongside ten great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her dear husband, Lonzo “Blackie” Dixon, and her beloved granddaughter, Sara Thomas Monopoly. Their memories remain a treasured part of her spirit as she joins them in eternal peace.

The visitation for Mae will be held on November 4, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress in Cypress, California. A funeral service honoring her life will take place the following day, November 5, 2024, at 11:30 AM at the Patriots Chapel, located in the same beautiful setting.
