Mack Terry was born on May 25, 1941 to Mack and Ella Mae (Montgomery) Terry in Bessemer, Alabama. Mack’s parents relocated to Michigan where Mack accepted Christ at an early age while attending St. Paul Church of God and Christ in Detroit, Michigan. Mack entered military service in 1956, stationed in Germany, where he served for 2 years. While in the military, Mack discovered a love for boxing and became proficient at the sport. In 1960 Mack was united in holy matrimony to Joan Blythe and from that union had 3 children: Caprice, Elisha, and Anthony. While Mack lived in Detroit, he worked in the auto industry for The Big Three: Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler. Later Mack was united in holy matrimony to Renee Bailey and from that union had 2 children: Mack LaRon and Edward Mack. Mack moved to Hollywood, California in 1970 where he pursued a career in screenplay writing for films and television. Mack completed his career as a Financial Litigator for a Los Angeles based company. In his leisure time, Mack enjoyed listening to Jazz, playing Golf, taking trips to Las Vegas, and watching Boxing or his favorite sports teams. Mack had a great love for family, and his grandchildren held a special place in his heart.
On Monday, August 19, 2024 Mack was called home to be with the Lord. He slipped away quietly with the love of his life, Renee, by his side.
He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his wife Renee, children: Caprice, Elisha, Anthony (Natasha), Victor, Rhonda, LaRon (Claudia) and Edward (Anita), seventeen grandchildren, two great granddaughters, one sister, Ella Mae Pounds (Boisie), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
