Plaistow, NH: Lyndel J. "Lenny" McMahon, 66, of Plaistow, died suddenly on November 20, 2016, at his home following a long and courageous battle with several illnesses.

Born, raised and educated in Lowell, MA, the son of the late Francis and Beatrice (Lemire) McMahon, he graduated Lowell Trade School with the Class of 1968. He proudly and honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated the Chelmsford Street Sub Shop in Lowell, MA for many years and later worked as a Machine Operator at Raytheon from 1986 until 1991.

Mr. McMahon was a member of the Plaistow Fish and Game Club and served as past Vice President, and was also a member of the Newburyport Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed playing cards, especially 45's, trips to Las Vegas and Foxwoods and was a very devoted grandfather to his five grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-one years Susan A. (Hunt) McMahon, two daughters, Ryan A. McMahon and her significant other, Richard Salmonson of Newbury, MA and Laura Keyser of Florida; three sons, Derek L. McMahon and his significant other, Jessica Ouellette of Concord, NH, Scott McMahon of Lowell, MA and Lyndel Jennison of Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis G. and Robin McMahon, Jr. of Newbury, MA and Ronald and Debbie McMahon of Lowell, MA; a sister, Karen McMahon and her significant other, Richard Theriault of East Kingston; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexis, Taylor, Kacie and Blake, several nieces, nephews, cousins and one aunt. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Constance McMahon and a brother, Richard McMahon.

Relatives and friends may attend his Life Celebration on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 4 to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His Funeral Service will follow at 7:15 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
