Lydia Villafuerte French

Lydia Villafuerte French was born June 8, 1928, in Manila, Philippines to Agaton and Adelaida Villafuerte. She passed from this life on May 17, 2016, at the age of 87. Mrs. French lived a long fruitful life. In the 1970's, she and her children moved to the United States and made a home in Chicago, Illinois. For 20 years, she worked as a seamstress at Saks Fifth Avenue on Michigan Avenue. During her commute, she met her husband, Phil French. They married and moved to Fancy Farm, Kentucky. After 24 years, Mr. French was ill in a nursing home, Mrs. French decided to move to Arizona to be closer to her children. After Mr. French's death she moved to California, where she passed in Walnut Creek. She is survived by her siblings: Rosalinda, Lamberto, and Fred/Vickie. She will be missed as a very devoted mother to her children: Gloria/Phil, Mary Grace, Gerry, and Van. She will also be forever in the hearts of her grandchildren: Marivic/Blaine, Victor Jr, Michael, Christine/Joshua, and Matthew, and be adored for eternity by her great-grandchildren: Dillon, Madison, Agathon, and Emily.
