Lupe Velasco

Lupe Velasco was born on July 12, 1923 in Bellflower, Ca and died peacefully on October 17, 2014, in Fontana, Ca. surrounded by family.
Lupe married Charles G. Velasco in 1946 and were parents to children Julie Kaller (husband James), Suzanne Jolly (husband Allen), Charles "Chuck' Velasco and Dave Velasco (wife Robyn.) Her husband Charles and son Chuck preceded her in death.
She was a stay at home mom until 1960 when she started working at K-Mart. She studied, received her L.V.N. license and worked at Beverly Hospital until her retirement.
Lupe was a patriotic lady who loved her country, her church, and especially her family and friends. She loved books, music, growing beautiful roses, and drawing. One of her greatest virtues was her generosity. Everyone who met her said she was one of the nicest people they had ever met. Nothing pleased her more than giving of herself to those in need. She left a lasting memory with those whose paths she crossed and will be greatly missed by her brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends,
Rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 29th from 6-9 pm at the Church of the Recessional in Forest Lawn Glendale and the memorial service will be on Thursday at 2 pm at the same location.
