Luis Ocon, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 15, 2023. He was born on July 10, 1937, in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Luis led a life filled with love, joy, and kindness. He was a man of great character and integrity who touched the lives of many. His warm heart and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Luis cherished his relationships with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Helen, with whom he shared countless beautiful moments. Together they built a strong foundation of love and support that will forever remain in the hearts of their children.
Luis was a devoted father to his sons Brooks and Cary and his daughters Kim, Debra, and Francine. He played an integral role in shaping their lives and instilled in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and humility. Luis was always there to provide guidance and support as they navigated through life's challenges.
One of Luis's greatest joys was being a grandfather to nine grandchildren: Bruce, Beverly, Brandon, Bianca, Samuel, Enzo, Sophia, Austin, and Tao. He treasured every moment spent with them and took great pride in watching them grow into remarkable individuals. His grandchildren were a source of inspiration for him, and he eagerly shared in their accomplishments.
In addition to his beloved grandchildren, Luis was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Juniper, Eli Noa Ryan, and Harper. Their laughter brought immense joy to Luis's life. He delighted in their presence and found solace in knowing that his legacy would be carried on through each one of them.
Luis's warm personality extended beyond just his immediate family; he had numerous extended family members as well as found family members who held him in the highest regard. These individuals were touched by Luis's kindness and generosity, and they considered themselves lucky to have had him in their lives.
The memory of Luis will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of love, compassion, and selflessness. He taught us the value of family, the importance of lending a helping hand, and the power of a kind word.
To honor Luis's life, a Funeral Service will be held on November 2, 2023. The service will take place at Forest Lawn - Glendale - Church of the Recessional in Glendale, California. It will be a time for family and friends to come together and pay their respects to a remarkable man whose presence touched so many lives.
Luis Ocon's departure from this world leaves an unfillable void. However, his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the incredible life he lived and the immeasurable impact he had on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
