Luis Fournier III, 38, a resident of Corona, California passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. He succumbed to heart failure at the Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside CA.
Luis was born on June 26, 1980 to Louis Fournier and Mary Rothe Fournier in Torrance. As an adorable little boy, he loved Winnie the Pooh, Dr. Seuss books, Disneyland, his pets, camping, and skiing. He graduated from Mira Costa High School (1998) and later, Cal Poly Pomona with a BA in English Literature (2004). After college, Luis developed a strong passion for many forms of art including photography, painting, crafts, and graphics. He owned LFCubed Designs and Circuit Board Skyscapes.
Luis had a profound love for his family. He was the big brother to Elizabeth and Nicholas, exposing them to lessons of outdoor beauty and an induction into adulthood while spending dedicated-time with each. He was an outdoor buddy with his dad sharing a bond where they were always there for each other. Luis adored his mother and constant companion. Some comfort comes from the knowledge that the void from her death is filled and they are together. He spent the majority of his life in Redondo Beach and considered it his home.
Luis is survived by his father, Louis Fournier (Helen); sister, Elizabeth Jane Fournier, brother, Nicholas David Fournier, step brothers, Nathan George-Dortch and Zackery George-Dortch; aunts, Carmen Gisela Fournier Linares (Edwin) and Minerva Fournier Chronoviat (Michael); Uncle, Gerald Rothe; step-mother, Debbie Fournier; and, cousins, Robert Ruffner Fournier (Laura) and Jennifer Chronoviat Wells (Cheyne). He left behind three very spoiled pets: Tigger (as in Winnie the Pooh), Max (Mary's cat), and Nala (unofficial canine princess!).
Luis also left behind many loving and loyal friends. Thank you to Jeffery Meyers, Kathleen Essman, Joseph Ortiz, Brandon Wilson, and Will Kenworthly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rothe Fournier.
