Lucina Gertrude Iles

Lucina Gertrude Iles, (Lucy or Lou) 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at a nursing home in Slymar, CA.
She was born on April 20, 1927 in Little Chute, Wisconsin to Joseph & Clasina Welhouse. She married Robert Cobb in 1947 at the age of 20 and left
for Glendale, California shortly thereafter. They were happily married for 36 years until Bob's death in 1983. In April of 1990, Lucina married Bill Iles and lived in
numerous places until his death in 1996. She eventually settled in Victorville, CA.

Lucina is survived by her daughters, Sharon Kline & son-in-law John of Santa Clarita, CA and Janis Rorrer of Rockville, Md.
5 Grandchildren Tim Day (Trina) Texas, Alysia Krupp (Rob) Colorado, Michael Kline, Santa Clarita, Adam Rorrer, Rockville, MD, and Travis Rorrer, Rockville, MD, 8 Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She had 11 brothers and sisters of whom survivors include her brother Tom Welhouse and his wife Carol, of Green Bay, WI and sister Verona Berg of Winchester, WI.

Lucina was a homemaker most of her married life, but she also pursued catering jobs, which she loved. She was a master decorator of her homes and enjoyed any artsy-craftsy activities she could find! She took great pleasure in creating handmade Christmas stockings for her Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren & dear family friends. She was also passionate about working in her garden, planting beautiful flowers for the enjoyment of all.
I know she's probably barking at Bob to get their 5 o'clock toddy.....
Graveside service will be held Monday March 23rd at 3:00pm. Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
