Lucille (labrie) Boucher

Haverhill, MA: Lucille (LaBrie) Boucher died October 1, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mercedes (Tremblay) LaBrie. Raised and educated in Haverhill with her sister, the late Marjorie Blair and brother, the late Richard LaBrie, she graduated from Haverhill High School Class of 1948. She married the late Paul Boucher and they are survived by their four children, Jeannine Bouchard of Portland, OR, James and his wife, Carol of Otisfield, ME, Jacqueline Berry and her husband, John of Deerfield, N.H. and Joseph and his wife, Kathleen of Sandown, N.H.

She enjoyed spending time with her eight grandchildren, Ann Marie Roche,Tom LeFave, Anthony Rossetti, Matthew Rossetti, Jacques Bouchard, Marissa Manos, Kayla Boucher and Jessica Boucher and 2 great grandchildren, Evangeline and Wilhelmina Bouchard as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lucille was a warm, loving, caring person with many close friends that lasted through her entire life. She was loved by anyone who new her. Together with Paul they raised their family on Willie St in Haverhill and in the summers maintained a family camp site on Lake Ossippee in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This provided many sun drenched summers for her young family. When they had finally ended camping, they installed an in - ground pool with a screen house at their Willie St residence. This was the location for many family get togethers and parties that Lucille greatly enjoyed hosting. She had a unique ability of making her guests feel special. Her home was constantly filled with friends, family, food, music and love. All of which were welcomed.

Most of her work outside of her home and family was for the Timberlane School district in Plaistow NH where she worked as a teacher's assistant in the Social Studies Department. Her caring personality made her an integral part of the education process at Timberlane during that time. She was involved in the Timberlane teachers strike. This historic strike brought attention to the overcrowding and unfair working conditions at the school during the 1970's.

She will be greatly missed by all she knew, loved and touched.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mrs. Boucher's Life Celebration on Sunday, October 23, from 1 to 4 pm, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Route 121A), Plaistow, NH, immediately followed by a Service of Remembrance at 4:15 pm.
