Lucia Laxina Dario was born on December 13, 1935, in Orani, Bataan, Philippines to the parents of Maximo and Genoveva Laxina.
Lucia was the second oldest of five children: Marita, Zeny, Manding, and Onie. In January 1972, she moved to Los Angeles, California and resided in Glendale, California since 1990.Lucia was outgoing and friendly. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and often hosted memorable celebrations at her home.
She prioritized her family and friends above all. Her home welcomed many, including those needing a place to stay and transitioning to settle on their own. She was very generous to a fault.Lucia graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She was a Supervisor for the Outpatient Department at Subic Bay United States Naval Hospital for 25 years and Administrator for Wilshire Oncology Medical Group for over 20 years.
She had a strong faith in God and was very committed to the Catholic community. She served as a choir member and eucharistic minister at St. Bernard Catholic Church and eucharistic minister at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Lucia is survived by her husband, Robinson Dario, four children: Resty, Lawrence, Patrick, and Arthur, seven grandchildren: Rachelle, Marlon, Bryan, Christine, Faith, Erin, and Christian, great grandchild: Raquelle, and the extended Dario family.
Our family has been blessed with a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, godparent, and friend. We thank you, God, for bringing Lucia into our lives.
