Lovelle Starr Barela

Our devoted and loving Mother, Lovelle Starr Barela, 89, born on September 2, 1928, in Santa Monica, California, passed away February 11, 2018. She is survived by three sisters, Sharon, Linda and Colleen, her five children, Trudy, Craig, Darlene, Lovelle Grace and Mark, five grandchildren, Karri, Kirk, Jennifer, Tionna and Taylor and five great-grandchildren.

She raised her family in Encino, where our parents purchased a modest home in 1952. After 63 years, she relocated to the north Valley, living in Chatsworth.

Our Mother has now moved on, with God in her heart, to be reunited with the Soul Mate of her life, our father, Anthony (Tony) Barela. She was a very loving woman, that focused on her family throughout her life. She guided, encouraged and protected us freely, asking for nothing in return. Mom, you will be loved and missed forever.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Of Grace Church, 5001 White Oak Avenue, Encino, CA, on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 10:30 am. This will be followed by a procession to Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, for a graveside services.
