In Loving Memory of Lourdes Felizardo Sia

July 12, 1937 - April 9, 2026

Lourdes Felizardo Sia, lovingly known as “Lou” and “Ding,” was born on July 12, 1937, in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. She passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, resilience, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Lourdes was the beloved wife of Joe; a devoted mother to Rex, Lea, Joel, Gemma, Maria (Dimple), and Joe (Bong); and a proud grandmother to Lou, Jay, Julian, Cassie, Zoey, Joseph, Hope, Easton, and Hayden. She was also a cherished mother-in-law to Yancy, Joey, Tom, and Shannon, and a loving sister to Julieta, Alfredo, Benjamin, Ernesto, Luzviminda, and Zenaida. Her journey began at the University of the East, where she met the love of her life, Joe. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work, perseverance, and deep partnership. In Olongapo City, they became pillars of their community, establishing successful businesses and forming lifelong friendships. In December 1986, at the age of 49, Lourdes courageously emigrated to the United States with her five children, later joined by Joe. With determination and tireless effort, she built a new life for her family. She opened Salo-Salo Restaurant and worked in a group home, gaining the experience that led her to establish several care facilities, including Lourdes Home Care, Moneta Home Care, Jade Home Care, and Seacrest. She poured her heart into caring for others, earning the respect and gratitude of residents, staff, and the community. Her dedication and hard work were recognized with an Outstanding Service Award in the field of Developmental Disabilities. As the last surviving member of the Felizardo siblings, Lourdes embraced her role as matriarch with great pride. She remained a guiding presence for her nieces, nephews, and their families, offering support, love, and strength throughout her life. Lourdes also had a passion for bringing people together. She delighted in hosting unforgettable gatherings at her home in Carson, often planning months in advance. From themes, menus, decorations, and music, she thoughtfully crafted every detail—often sewing her own tablecloths and preparing every dish herself. Christmas held a special place in her heart, as she filled her home with joy, lights, and an abundance of gifts for all who visited. She and Joe enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—road trips to San Diego and Las Vegas, indulging in all-you-can-eat buffets, and shopping together. A woman of deep and abiding faith, Lourdes drew strength and peace from daily prayer and her faithful presence at Sunday Mass, a true reflection of her devotion to God. Above all, Lourdes was deeply devoted to her family. She was endlessly loving and generous, always present in times of need and in moments of celebration alike. Her love was expressed not only in words but through her constant presence and quiet sacrifices. She doted on her children and grandchildren, taking immense pride in their accomplishments, celebrating their milestones with joy, and standing beside them through life’s challenges with unwavering strength. She was always there for them—ready to help, comfort, and guide whenever they needed her. Her love knew no bounds. She gave herself selflessly and unconditionally, always placing her family at the center of her life. She worked tirelessly to build a life of stability and opportunity for her children, ensuring they would always have something to hold on to and carry forward. Her love, sacrifices, and strength will live on through them. Mommy, thank you for the life you gave us. We promise to make you proud. As we go through our daily lives, we will always carry you in our hearts. We will miss you deeply, until we meet again.
