Louise W. Welch

Louise W. Welch, 98, was born on July 5, 1915 to Theoren and Ruth Warner in Sunderland, MA and passed away on July 20, 2013 in Oxnard, CA. She was a resident of La Crescenta, CA at the time of her passing. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and community volunteer.

Louise worked for the Robisons store as a sales clerk for 14 years. Louise enjoyed traveling with her husband Peter to Hawaii, Canada, New England, and a cruise to the Caribbean with her son, Peter and his wife Judy. She also traveled with her husband to Guam where her daughter Carolyn and her husband Frank and family lived.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband Peter Welch, brothers Bob Warner and Edward Warner of Sunderland, MA. She is survived by son Peter Welch (Judy) and daughter Carolyn Monaco (Frank), three grandchildren Frank Peter Monaco (Darci) of Texas, Angela French (John) of Oxnard, and Charles Monaco (Lorie) of Bakersfield, CA and seven great-grandchildren, sisters Elizabeth Avery, Connecticut, and Edna Gunn, Sunderland, MA and brother Terry Warner, Sunderland, MA. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Louise was a person who always thought of the others before herself as seen in her volunteer service to Verdugo Hills Hospital for over 30 years. Louise demonstrated this by giving of herself and asking nothing in return. She will be long remembered as a virtuous and loving woman who cared deeply for her family and friends.
