Passing of Louis G. Roybal

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Louis Gonzaga. Roybal, the youngest brother of the late Congressman Edward R. Roybal. Louis passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
Mr. Roybal was born on February 6, 1928, he 91 years of age at the time of his passing. He was born in Pecos, New Mexico and moved to Los Angeles with his family as a young boy. He attended public schools in Los Angeles, Served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and graduated from UCLA in 1957 with a degree in Accounting.
He worked at TransAmerica Insurance Company as an Accountant and was one of the first Latinos to serve in an executive position at the Carrier.
He was the patriarch of the Roybal family after Ed's passing and was an avid supporter of the Lucille & Edward R. Roybal Foundation.
Louis is survived by his only remaining sibling Eloise Roybal Wilder, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
He will be sorely missed by all who have crossed his path.
