Lou as everyone called him, was a loving father, hard worker, and wonderful friend.

Lou was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 15, 1934. He graduated from Chelsea Vocational High School in 1952 New York, New York. After high school, he served in both the United States Army and the Army National Guard of California for a total of four years. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Business Education from California State University Los Angeles and a Master of Science in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California.

Lou worked for many companies throughout his life as a Manager of data processing systems and programming applications for: McDonnell Douglas, Printronix, Equity Financial Group, and Kaiser Permanente to name a few. He retired from Kaiser Permanente Pasadena, California in 2002 as a Project Manager.

Lou leaves behind his sister Rita Gross; daughter Lisa Gross; cousin Ed Schechter and his wife, Ester, and their children Dan Schechter and Jeannine Jacoby and their families; cousin Phyllis Smith and her son, Brian Smith and his family; and cousin Marty Klopert; and his children Scott Klopert and Debbie Ravden and their families and cousin Shiela Kaye.

Lou will be buried with military honors at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, California, 92518. His daughter requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made to the Veterans Association of America, Inc., PO Box 309 Audubon Station, New York, New York, 10032-0309, or the Inland Valley Humane Society, 500 Humane Way, Pomona, CA, 91766

A celebration of Lou's life will be held at a later date.
