Louie Horvitz

Louie Horvitz, 95, born on August 6, 1921 in Ontario, Canada passed away February 2, 2017. He resided in Sherman Oaks, California at the time of his passing. Louie is survived by his 6 children Janet Trueman, Louis J. Horvitz, Dianne Dunn, Karen Stave, Nancy Benson and Richard Horvitz. Louie is also survived by son in-laws, Roger Trueman, Fred Dunn, Mel Stave and Jack Benson. Daughter in-laws Steffanee Leaming and Kristen Lazarian. In addition Louie was the proud grandfather of 10. Jeff Trueman, Dana Trueman, Jennifer Dunn, Laura Young, Joe Benson, Allison Gould, Christopher Benson, Jake Horvitz, Cole Horvitz and Wyatt Horvitz. Great Grandfather of 8. Tara Trueman, Beth Trueman, Evan Trueman, Maya Trueman, Connor Young, Owen Young, Brady Young and Norah Gould. In addition to being a loving husband and father Louie proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He Worked as a Planning Engineer for Rocketdyne for over 35 years. Louie was also an honored member of the Freemasons. A memorial service will be held at The Congregational Church of the Chimes in Sherman Oaks on Monday February 13th at 11am. A private graveside service will be held at Hollywood Hills Forrest Lawn at 3pm. Remembrances can be sent to Congregational Church of the Chimes in memory of Louie Horvitz.
